Goodreels: A Cinematic Book Experience | Class Assignment, Experiential
People aren’t reading as much as they used to, and people who don’t read that much aren't using Goodreads. To get movie-lovers excited about reading, we've created interactive book pop-ups inside movie theaters to connect books to their beloved film adaptations.
The Pop Up
Each pop-up has a mini library for movie-goers to explore the origins of their favorite films. Goodreads librarians will also be on-site to help audiences find their book match based on a specialized matching quiz.
To combat doubts about recommendations for books, readers can leave a review of a book on a review wall and take a review of another to find their next favorite book.
Matching Quiz
To bring viewers to the app, moviegoers will be given a QR code to scan, which will launch a matching quiz on the Goodreads app. The quiz will ask audiences to select their favorite genres, tones for stories, types of plots, etc. Based on their selections, Goodreads will compile a list of books the reader might like.
Supporting Executions
To continue bringing audiences to the pop-ups, we'll create posters and movie ticket designs, including QR codes that lead to the app store.
